I was born in 1980 at Kirnahar, a beautiful village in West Bangal, India, to Debnath and Balaka Banerjee. I got married to Kathakali Mukherjee on 2012.
Early DaysI get my secondary education there in Kirnahar Shib Chandra High School and Graduation from Sambhunath College, Labhpur with Physics Major.
After Graduation I joined Dept. of Physics, University of Pune as MSc student on 2003. Here I worked with Prof. A. D. Gangal for my MSc thesis on "Geometric Integrator" and as a project assistant to Prof. D. G. Kanhere from whom I first got the essence of condensed matter physics.
I have done my Ph.D. from S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, India and under supervision of Prof. Abhijit Mookerjee. The title of my thesis is "Electronic and magnetic properties of systems without periodicity".
I am a Post Doctoral Research Fellow working with Biplab Sanyal at Department of Physics and Astronomy, Materials Theory, Uppsala University.
